I’m Karrie and I live in Southern New Hampshire with my husband J, our dogs Gracie and Nola, and a few backyard chickens (fresh eggs in the morning are the best!). I was born and raised in Florida and I greatly dislike winter/cold/snow, so New Hampshire was a logical choice when we wanted to move from down South. LOL! Seriously, I love living in New Hampshire (the other 3 seasons) and have learned so much about New England cuisine (hello there lobster rolls). Another huge plus of living up here is the abundance and accessibility of sustainable, organic local farms. It has really taught me how important it is to know what’s behind the who, how, and where of the food we eat.
Let’s face it, we live in a fast-paced world where processed food is everywhere and good food choices aren’t always easy to make. My goal is to show you that utilizing fresh, unprocessed and natural ingredients can be easy and delicious. This isn’t a health food blog because I like all different kinds of foods way too much, but I do think everything can be made better by using whole, minimally processed foods. You might see a few photos of my doggies on here so let me introduce them…here’s Gracie and our new puppy, Nola. We foster puppies and dogs from our local animal shelter and we were supposed to foster Nola for only 4-6 weeks before she was to be adopted out. From the first moment we saw her, we knew we would be foster failures, and that’s exactly what we are 🙂 We love these two munchkins so much!
This is me and my first New England snowstorm (3 feet!!). I didn’t know it could snow 3 feet in one day. Yeah, I’m surprised that I didn’t hightail right back to Florida too!
