Gingered Samurai Martini is an unusual vodka martini made with plum wine, ginger liqueur, and fresh lime juice.  Inspired by a drink from Epcot's Tokyo Dining restaurant at Walt Disney World Resort.

Happy hour just called and it wants you to enjoy this Gingered Samurai Martini ASAP!  This drink recipe is delicious and packs a punch, so don't go do anything crazy after you've had a couple of these.  Unless crazy means passing out on your couch.  LOL!

This cocktail is inspired by the samurai drink at one of my favorite restaurants in Disney World Epcot's Japan, Tokyo Dining.  Love everything there about the food, the view, the atmosphere (service is exceptional too), and the drinks.  J and I were Disney Season Passholders when we lived in Orlando,  so there were many days we would go to Epcot just to walk around to eat and have a few drinks.  Each time we visited, we always stopped by Tokyo Dining to partake in a couple of sushi rolls and a samurai drink.  Oh, how I miss those days, especially times like right now during this New England winter.

Tokyo Dining's samurai is served on ice and made with vodka, plum wine, and lime juice.  Although I've never been able to find a recipe for it online, J and I duplicated it at home one night (yeah, we are smart like that, also it only has three ingredients so it wasn't really difficult).  One night, on a wild whim (sarcasm inserted), I grabbed my much loved Domaine De Canton ginger liqueur and promptly splashed a few drops or two into my samurai drink.  Best. Decision. Ever.

If you don't own a bottle of Domaine De Canton, please stop reading this post and go buy this liqueur.  It is a fantabulous mixer and will take any drink to the next level.  The next level of awesomeness that is...

Disclaimer:  For the record, I had to Google the Friday song lyrics for this post and I DO NOT have the song saved in my iTunes account.  However, I may download it later tonight after drinking a couple of these Gingered Samurai Martinis, as the drinks may cause me to encounter a momentary lapse in judgement.  Woohoooo!  Happy Friday!
